Blakeney has won Consultancy Campaign of the Year at the annual PRCA Public Affairs Awards, for its #LetTheMusicPlay campaign.
The campaign, which helped the UK live music industry to win crucial political and financial support during COVID, was chosen by a panel of senior public affairs judges.
Over the summer, Blakeney executed an emergency campaign for the UK live music industry to help highlight that, without support from the government, the industry could disappear.
Blakeney’s campaign was mobilised in just five days and had global reach and a huge impact - resulting in live music being included in a £1.57bn package of financial support. Thousands of jobs and businesses were able to survive as a result.
Gabe Winn, Blakeney’s founder and CEO, said: "#LetTheMusicPlay helped save jobs and businesses at a critical time for the live music sector. And it's all the more extraordinary that the Blakeney team that worked on the campaign managed to deliver such a significant win in such a short space of time."
The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is the world’s largest professional PR body, and its annual Public Affairs awards aim to recognise the very best work across the PR sector.
