In 2022, Evident (formerly known as Pure Energi) came to the Blakeney team with a huge challenge: despite being the world leader in renewable energy certificates for over a decade, the team wanted to build awareness to secure their market share in a rapidly maturing market.
We recommended that Pure Energi move forwards with a total rebrand to ‘Evident’, by investing in their brand, like a luxury goods company, with new brand architecture, new messaging, a new website, and a new look and feel across all communications. Our objective was to reposition the company once again as the global leader, through radical brand strategy, to empower conversations with global governments including China, Saudi Arabia, Australia, India, and South Africa.
Working directly with Pure Energi’s senior leadership team, we transitioned the company to Evident. Our work included the construction of new brand pillars, concepting potential strategic art directions, and developing a new brand architecture from scratch, which was future-proof and fit for the digital ecosystem. The new Evident brand features a full suite of logos , custom typography and a bespoke colour palette, as well as in-depth brand identity guidelines and a new website.
Helping to springboard Evident into the world of communications required a back-to-basics approach. Whilst developing its brand and website, we helped Evident identify their overarching narrative and simplify their technical, complex language, providing them, instead, with a clearly defined set of core messages to approach media and other stakeholders. We helped embed this narrative through professional media training and team days for the whole Evident business.
Blakeney then took Evident’s brand out into the world, arranging key meetings with journalists, supporting Evident’s product and services launches, and securing panel opportunities for the CEO, including participation in a key debate on the clean energy transition at FT Live.
In addition to building Evident’s media profile, Blakeney has also supported the launch and growth of Evident’s digital channels, with a particular focus on LinkedIn. Using best practice techniques, combined with engaging content that demonstrates Evident’s expertise, the Evident LinkedIn page has grown organically to over 6,500 followers.
In addition to organic content, Blakeney has recently helped Evident expand its reach and influence through paid media targeting.
Following a recent senior leadership trip to Singapore which identified that whilst there was a market for RECs amongst manufacturing SMEs in the region, there was little understanding of RECs and how they support the clean energy transition. To solve this challenge, we launched a targeted paid media ‘explainer’ campaign following the leadership trip that outlined why RECs were important and how they could specifically support the manufacturing industry. The campaign was very successful, despite the modest paid media budget:
