Melanie is a widely respected, knowledgeable advocate for renewable energy. Formerly, she was Deputy Chief Executive at RenewableUK and their principal spokesperson. Melanie was key to delivering policy change, securing Government commitments to port investment, supply chain growth and increased wind capacity ambitions for the UK. She produced programmes to bring more service veterans into the sector and worked with education providers to improve skills.
Melanie is best known for having served as an MP from 2015-2019, leading in her role of Shadow Housing Minister and Deputy Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, where she gained unparalleled expertise in housing and energy policy.
