Luke is a highly experienced former politician and campaigner who was the Member of Parliament for Ochil and South Perthshire from 2017 to 2019.

Luke was first elected as part of an intake of Scottish Conservative MPs in 2017, overturning a substantial SNP majority in a successful election for his party. During his time in Parliament, Luke served on the Public Accounts Committee, and as Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Cabinet Office, and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Before entering parliament, Luke campaigned for the Better Together campaign in the 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum, and was Director of Finance for the Britain Stronger in Europe campaign during the Brexit referendum in 2016. Luke is also a Chartered Management Accountant and has founded his own accountancy firm following his pre-parliamentary experience working in management and finance roles for start-ups and multinationals in the UK, USA, and Asia.

In March 2020, Luke was appointed as a special advisor at the helm of the No.10 “Union Unit”, tasked with opposing Scottish independence and strengthening the case for the union.
