Ben is an experienced political adviser and policy development specialist, and worked for the Labour Party for nearly two decades.

He joined Blakeney as a Director following nearly eight years at the Greater London Authority where he was Labour Mayor Sadiq Khan’s Head of Economic and Business Policy and a Senior Advisor on Business and Digital Policy.

During that time, he worked closely with the Mayor to champion London’s key business sectors domestically and internationally and to support London’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Before City Hall, Ben worked in senior roles at the Labour Party for over ten years, latterly as Head of Policy Development, where he was responsible for managing Labour's formal policy making process, National Policy Forum and manifesto development process in the run prior to the 2015 General Election.
